The discussion of proposals to develop biogas in Latin America leaders mobilized nearly half the countries in the region, in attendance on Wednesday (13) and Thursday (14), in Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil. The official opening was on the morning of Wednesday, the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI), with representatives from 16 of the 33 Latin American countries - Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Jamaica, Bolivia, Panama , Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, as well as Brazil. The event includes the actions of Task Force 37 - Biogas-Mirror, created in April by the International Energy Agency (IEA), with support from the Itaipu Binational, Latin American Organization of Energy (Olade), Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, International Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
